Practical info

Everything you
need to know.

Getting there, what to bring, what not to bring, and how to make the most of three days on Refshaleøen.

01 Getting there

Refshaleøen is a fifteen-minute ferry ride from Nyhavn. The 991/992 harbour bus runs every twenty minutes from Nyhavn and Operaen, and stops directly at the festival entrance.

  • Free ferry for Full Weekend and Patron ticket holders
  • Last ferry back leaves at 02:30 (Fri/Sat), 01:30 (Sun)
  • Bike parking is available on site — bring a lock
  • No public parking on the island; use Lindgreens Allé

02 Accessibility

The festival site is fully wheelchair accessible, including raised viewing platforms at both main stages. Accessible toilets are available at every stage.

  • Companion tickets are free — email us in advance
  • Quiet room and sensory space near the main entrance
  • Assistance dogs are welcome everywhere on site

03 What to bring

August in Copenhagen is warm during the day and cool after midnight. The site is on the water, so it's windier than the city — a jacket is a good idea even on a sunny day.

  • Reusable water bottle (free refill points on site)
  • Weatherproof layer and comfortable shoes
  • ID and your ticket (digital is fine)
  • Earplugs — we sell them, but they cost more at the gate

04 What not to bring

We keep the list short, but it matters. Security will ask you to leave anything on this list at the gate, and we can't store it for you.

  • Outside alcohol (sealed water bottles are fine)
  • Glass of any kind
  • Professional recording equipment
  • Anything with a flame — including sparklers

05 Food & drink

Twelve food stalls, two bars, one coffee cart that stays open until the last set ends. Everything is served in reusable containers — deposit is kr 10, refunded at the gate.

  • Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options at every stall
  • Cashless site — card and MobilePay only
  • Free drinking water at four refill stations

Questions

The ones we get asked most often, answered honestly.

Yes. Full Weekend and Patron ticket holders can come and go as they like. Day Pass holders can also re-enter, but the ferry queue is longest between 17:00 and 19:00 — plan accordingly.
The festival is open to all ages. Children under 12 enter free with a ticketed adult. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult after 22:00. There is no dedicated family area, but the Boiler Room stage is generally the quietest.
Small snacks and sealed water bottles are fine. Full meals, coolers, and outside alcohol are not. If you have a medical or dietary need, email us before the festival and we'll make an exception.
The festival runs rain or shine. The Dry Dock stage is covered, the Boiler Room is indoors, and there are two covered bars on site. The Crane Stage is open-air — bring a rain jacket, not an umbrella (they block sightlines).
Tickets are refundable up to 14 days before the festival, minus a kr 50 administration fee. After that, you're welcome to resell your ticket through our official resale page — we'll verify the buyer and reissue the wristband.
Yes. All stages have level access, and both main stages have raised viewing platforms. The gravel paths between stages are firm and maintained. If you have specific needs, email access@crux.example and we'll work it out with you.
